Now in college, I feel that I can't waste my learning foundation, and then I want to continue my calligraphy practice. What are the methods for college students to learn to practice calligraphy? Woolen cloth? My calligraphy course is roughly taught like this:

Basic steps to practice calligraphy:
People who want to practice running script (connected characters): running script - cursive script - regular script - running script. Mainly running script, supplemented by regular script and cursive script.
Basic steps:
(0) Preliminary preparation: paper, pen, and stickers (1 week)
(1) Basic strokes: dot, horizontal and vertical strokes (1 week)
Well, my teacher is so good that he hand-wrote a textbook himself, so you don’t have to look for it if you can’t buy it, hahaha. As for these basic strokes, practice them for a week first. Use the rice grid first, and then use ordinary A4 paper.
(2) Radicals: walking at the bottom, beside the vertical heart, next to the handle, etc. (3 weeks)
(3) Structure: single character, left and right structure, top and bottom structure, semi-enclosed, fully enclosed, etc. (3 weeks)
(4) Running calligraphy techniques: linking dots and drawings, echoing, omitting, replacing, strokes and the like, which is the legendary "circulation method". (2 weeks)
In order to learn running script well, you have to learn some cursive script. You need to learn the cursive symbols and special variations. The cursive symbols are actually a simplified way of writing radicals. You can't do it without learning.
We cannot understand cursive script precisely because we have not learned these strange symbols.
(5) Layout: line spacing, word spacing, zooming in and out, signature, etc. (1 week)
If time is tight, the fastest way is to adjust your layout to make your words look fresher and more legible. Three characters, seven distribution layout. A beautiful word must be organized.
(6) Running script works (1 week)
In about 3 months, you can basically master this basic method. If you practice solidly and have a teacher to guide you, you will definitely achieve earth-shaking changes.
Note that the net duration of calligraphy practice is not counting half an hour a day as a day, but >2 hours as a day. If you only practice 1 hour a day, it is 6 months. Do you understand? The net duration must be at least 180h. Less than 180 hours, anyone who says there is no effect is just being a hooligan...
