First, look at how you hold your pen while seated. Many people hold their pens too low and their notebooks crookedly. This is not good for handwriting.
Secondly, find a copybook that you like. Think about the structure and find the center of gravity. Start writing. Establish the concept of good-looking words. Aesthetics need to come before ability.
Third, persist.
I have never studied under a teacher, but I have carefully written about Tian Yingzhang (regular), Lu Zhongnan (regular), Gu Zhongan (hang), and now I am writing about Qian Peiyun (hang). During this period, I also read some copybooks written by others. The calligraphy styles of these masters are different, but the inner structure of good-looking characters is consistent.
In addition, I do not agree with improving hard-pen writing by practicing calligraphy. There is a correlation between the two, but not causation. I have seen people who write well in official calligraphy have bad calligraphy. Calligraphy classes outside only focus on practicing a few competition characters, which does little to improve real-life handwriting. For daily writing, you need to build a small character library yourself.

The first is to select posts. Tian Yingzhang (regular script), Lu Zhongnan (regular script), Gu Zhongan (line script) are all acceptable.
The second is a single word every day. You can talk for an hour and a half, that’s fine.
The third is to use the rice character grid
Fourth, after writing a word, compare it with the copybook to see the advantages and disadvantages.
The fifth is to master the proportions and angles
Sixth, try to use that font when writing.
Seventh, usually the mind refers to the empty book

Ninth, let everyone around you know that you are practicing calligraphy. If you don't practice for one day, you will tell them that you are a coward in front of them the next day, and ask them to despise you.
