The first mistake many of us make when writing is often the stroke problem. The writing is crooked, the strokes are missing, and the words don't look like words. In fact, when we started practicing calligraphy when we were young, each of us was good at writing. However, due to the increase in study pressure or the nervousness of work pressure, we began to write faster and faster, and gradually we couldn't care about the strokes. When I asked for it, I began to write with excitement and freedom, and the strokes no longer looked good. Over time, my hands formed muscle memory, and I found that writing has gradually become a solid pattern, which is difficult to correct. Coupled with my impatience, I no longer have much time and patience. I have the patience to correct this problem, which has resulted in me still not being able to write well for more than ten years.

Step 1: Horizontal and vertical

1. Change starting from the first step. Most characters will have horizontal and vertical strokes, and some other compound strokes can be deformed from these two strokes. So we must write horizontal and vertical drawings well. Remember these four words: horizontal, horizontal and vertical, which will greatly improve your writing.

2. A painting is a horizontal painting and must be flat. Similarly, a vertical painting is a vertical painting and must be straight. From the example in the picture above, you can see that the more irregular the strokes are, the less beautiful they will be. Although there is only one stroke, you can clearly see the difference between good and bad. What’s more, if you want to form a complete character, it will definitely not look good. Writing is different from painting. Although both are lines, the lines of Chinese characters must be standardized and neat. There is a set of theories. They are two different arts.

3. Because it is not horizontal and vertical, it is just a few words, and there are not many strokes. If it is not standardized, it will look awkward. Moreover, many people have different writing habits, so there will be various problems. , most of the good-looking characters are similar, but each of the bad-looking characters has its own characteristics.

Step 2: Action points (also called strokes)

1. When the strokes are made horizontally and vertically, they will look much neater, and the writing has improved a lot. If you want to further improve the beauty of the characters, you must learn the second step: pause the strokes. This involves the writing skills of basic strokes, but today I won’t talk about too many complicated skills, or the details of those strokes. You just need to remember that no matter what strokes you write, you just need to add action points (strokes) , the overall look and feel of the characters will be improved a lot.

2. There are two action points in horizontal drawing. What are action points? It's very simple to use the pen to tilt it slightly at about 45°. When writing horizontal drawings, tap lightly first, then move the pen, and then tap lightly again at the end of the stroke. This way, the horizontal drawings will look much more lively and have a stronger look and feel. In the same vertical painting, the strokes are paused first, and there is no need to deal with the closing point; the brush strokes, strokes, and strokes are all handled in this way, with the strokes paused first and then the strokes are completed.

3. The next three strokes: vertical fold, horizontal stroke, and horizontal fold hook. In addition to the horizontal and vertical strokes, you still have to pause the stroke first. There is one detail that needs to be paid attention to, that is, there must be an action point at the turning point. With a slight fold, you can Think of it as turning the pen to do a little painting, stopping the strokes, and completing the remaining strokes. These are the details of these three strokes, which must be remembered.

Step 3: Use fewer strokes and write loosely; use more strokes and write compactly.

1. If the first two steps are local points of attention, then this step is what needs to be paid attention to as a whole. It is not difficult to understand that the first two steps can be attributed to the discussion of the details of the strokes, and the third step is the study of the frame structure of the characters. However, if we want to seriously explain and discuss the key points of the frame structure of the characters, it is very complicated and complicated. , is indispensable for those who learn calligraphy, but for ordinary people to write in daily life, it is not necessary, so for this place, everyone only needs to remember one thing: words with few strokes should be written loosely; words with many strokes should be written loosely. , write more compactly.

2. The example characters cited here are relatively intuitive and belong to the character structure of "pin", so that everyone can better understand and feel. When writing a single character, there are fewer strokes. This is something you need to pay attention to. Don't write the characters too stingily. You have to stretch them out. I will teach you a way to write in the Tian character grid or the rice character grid. If the characters are written too small, you will be intuitive. I feel that the proportions are not good enough and it doesn’t look good. Therefore, characters with fewer strokes should be written more grandly. On the contrary, characters with many strokes need to occupy a reasonable proportion, so the whole character should be moved closer and more compact, so that the whole character appears cohesive and lively.

Follow the third step: if there are few strokes, write loosely; if there are many strokes, write tight:

It can be seen that the character "山" alone should be written open, and when used as a radical, it should be compact and written smaller, so that the whole character will appear reasonably laid out and have a good impression. The character "juice" has few strokes on the left and right. When it is written as a whole, it should be written more relaxedly and the proportions should be adjusted; the character "chao" is composed of three parts and has a lot of strokes, so when writing, it is necessary to pay attention to the proportion, pattern, and small areas. It should be small, the whole word should be closer to the middle, and the whole word should be compact, as if there is a gravitational force in the middle attracting the outside parts.

Finally, please remember these 3 steps, which will definitely be helpful for ordinary writing and improve your writing skills.
