To learn calligraphy, you should study ancient calligraphy. It is not recommended to study modern calligraphy at the beginning.


I recommend a few that you can take a look at.


1. "Postscript to Wang Xian's Nanny" by Jiang Kui.


2. "The Drunken Old Man's Pavilion" in small regular script by Wen Zhengming.


3. "The Biography of Ji An" by Zhao Mengfu.


The above three are tough styles, here are some softer ones.


1. "Ling Fei Jing" by Zhong Shaojing.


2. "Ten Records of the Cottage" and "Qin Fu" by Wen Zhengming.


3. Zhao Mengfu's "Tao Te Ching" and the following version of "Luo Shen Fu".
