Second, copybook, this depends on your plan to practice calligraphy. If it is just for daily use, then choose regular script or running script. However, if you plan to develop calligraphy as a hobby in the long run, it is best to choose regular script; Tian Yingzhang, Wu Yusheng, Anything from Lu Zhongnan is fine. It is best not to choose Gu Tie. Although Gu Tie is rich in nutrients, if you do not have a good foundation to digest it, you will just chew crabs dryly. You will not eat much meat, and it is easy to get pricked and your mouth will be full of blood.
Third, the way to hold the pen. In fact, the copybook you buy will have explanations on it, but don’t copy the way to hold the pen mechanically on the copybook, because people’s hands are different in size, and blindly imitating it will not be beneficial and will affect the writing; changing the way to hold the pen The purpose of this method is to free up the pen and make the writing space larger to adapt to the needs of hard pens. I have a writing method here to try to see if there is a problem with the way you hold the pen. That is, write 2-3 cm long horizontally or 2-3 cm long vertically. If you find that the strokes become thinner and unstable at the end of the stroke, it means that your grip on the pen is too rigid and needs to be changed. Fourth, reading posts, this is the most critical part of calligraphy practice. How well you read posts is directly related to the progress of your calligraphy practice. Fifth, control of the strokes is a very difficult point in calligraphy practice and requires long-term practice. Of course, if you are just starting to practice calligraphy, it is recommended not to pursue changes in the thickness of the strokes too much at the beginning, because this requires control.
