Always on the road, discover beauty and share happiness!
When I went to Taiyuan this time, no matter in Jinci Temple or Shuangta Park, one person's name always appeared in front of me. This is Fu Shan. I didn’t know much about Fu Shan before, but I didn’t know until I arrived in Taiyuan that Mr. Fu Shan was a great thinker. A native of Taiyuan, he not only had unique insights in traditional Chinese medicine, but was also quite accomplished in calligraphy and painting. It can be said that as long as he is The person he likes must be an outstanding person and be an extremely smart person. At the same time, he was born in the troubled times of the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, and his national integrity and patriotic enthusiasm are also admirable. No wonder Taiyuan people are proud of him.
Fushan Stele Forest Stele
After paying homage to the Yanqiu Stone on the bank of the Fen River, I discovered a piece of classical garden architecture across the road, which must be a unique place. There happened to be a greenway connecting it to Fenhe Scenic Area, so I walked over there. It turns out that this place is called Forest of Steles Park, and its main part is Fushan Forest of Steles. The entrance fee only costs 2 yuan.
A scene in the garden
This park is divided into two parts. One part is located at the main entrance, which is the north gate, and is the North Garden, named Fushan Stele Forest. The other part is located in the backyard, and is the South Garden, and is named Sanjin Stele Forest. Among them, the Fushan Forest of Steles contains 146 calligraphy works by Fu Shan, all in five styles, while the Sanjin Forest of Steles collects 181 works by calligraphers from Shanxi during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Stone tablet in the garden
Walking into this park, you will find pavilions, rockery, waterside pavilions, carved beams and painted buildings, and the scenery is charming. Large and small inscriptions are scattered throughout the garden, and there is a corresponding translation next to each stone inscription. If you calm down and study it carefully, it will take you several days. I selected a few that looked a bit special and enjoyed them slowly while touring the garden, which was a bit elegant. It's just that this park is built just next to the urban expressway, and there is no soundproof screen installed. The noise from the road is relatively large, which somewhat interferes with the enjoyment of the park. If some taller buildings can be built on the side of the road next to the park, firstly, they can play a decorative role, and secondly, they can isolate some of the noise generated by industrial civilization, and the experience will definitely be better.

In order to plan and build this forest of steles, local cultural workers in Taiyuan can be said to have put a lot of thought into it. They traveled around to collect Mr. Fu Shan's works scattered all over the world, carefully sorted them out, and engraved them on stones for long-term preservation, and at the same time, ordinary people also had the honor to appreciate the master's works.

I heard that there is a Chinese Fu Shan Garden in the north of Taiyuan City, which is also the hometown of Mr. Fu Shan. If you have the opportunity to visit this place, you will definitely gain more.
