The characters used in calligraphy practice are different from those used in homework. Why is this?
There are 2 main reasons:
1. The child is not proficient enough.
2. Failure to apply what you have learned, dividing homework and calligraphy practice into two unrelated things, and throwing aside the learned strokes and structures when writing homework.
Solution:
1. When doing homework, children have less time, and they are not proficient in writing Chinese character strokes and structures, resulting in a big difference between homework handwriting and calligraphy practice.
The solution is: practice makes perfect, strengthen children's practice of basic strokes and common structures, and form hand muscle memory.
2. It is recommended that children consciously write when doing homework and develop the good habit of practicing calligraphy as soon as they pick up the pen. Apply what you learn while practicing calligraphy to writing or taking exams.
