Cangjie provided Huangdi with wrong historical facts from the history books recorded in rope knots, which caused Huangdi to fail in the border negotiations with Emperor Yan. Afterwards, Cangjie resigned in shame and traveled around the world, visiting and recording history and events. Three years later, he returned to his hometown of Yangwu Village, Baishui, and lived alone in a deep ditch to "observe the circular curves of Kuixing and observe the traces of hooves and claws of birds and beasts." He sorted out various materials and created various symbols representing all things in the world. He gave these symbols a name. Guess what the name is? (Word) Introducing a new lesson - "The Art of Chinese Calligraphy".
(2) Teaching new courses
Activity 1: Intuitive perception
Development and evolution of Chinese characters: Show pictures of Chinese characters and ask everyone to talk about their understanding of Chinese characters based on the picture display. How did Chinese characters develop and evolve?
Students discussed and answered, and the teacher concluded: The Shang and Zhou Dynasties were the first to have mature and systematic Chinese characters, which laid the foundation for the development of Chinese characters in later generations. Later, bronze inscriptions (golden inscriptions) became popular. After the Spring and Autumn Period, due to the separatist rule among the princes, "writing became alien." After the unification of Qin, it was unified into Xiaozhuan. During the Cao Wei Dynasty, Zhong Yao founded Zhenshu (regular script). So far, the evolution of Chinese characters has been perfected. Not only that, since the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the writing of Chinese characters has become a specialized art, that is, calligraphy.
Activity 2: Detailed analysis
1. Types of Chinese characters
Show different pictures of Chinese characters. Guide students to observe the pictures and answer the questions: Tell me which words you can recognize?
Students observe and answer, and the teacher summarizes: The originator of Chinese characters - oracle bone inscriptions; bronze inscriptions refer to the characters engraved on the bronzes of the Yin and Zhou Dynasties, also called bell and tripod inscriptions.
The big seal script originated in the late Western Zhou Dynasty and was popularized in the Qin State during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. The font is similar to Qin seal script, but the configuration of the glyphs often overlaps. The representative stone drum inscriptions that exist today are named after the writings written by Taishi Zhou during the reign of King Xuan of Zhou Dynasty. He carried out reforms on the basis of the original writing, which was named after it was carved on a stone drum. It is the earliest stone-engraved writing that has been handed down to this day, and is the ancestor of stone carving. Small seal script is also called "Qin seal script". During the Qin Dynasty, Li Si was ordered to unify the script, and this script was Xiaozhuan.
Official script basically evolved from seal script. It mainly changed the round strokes of seal script into square folds, which made the writing speed faster. It is difficult to draw round strokes when writing on wooden slips with lacquer.
2. Characteristics of Chinese calligraphy
Show calligraphy pictures and students observe the structure of Chinese characters. Ask the question: What are the characteristics of these Chinese character structures?
Students discuss and answer in groups, and the teacher summarizes:
Official script: break the circle into a square, and the Chinese characters form a horizontal and vertical square structure.
Regular script: Rich in writing techniques, including pen folding, outlining, and pauses, etc., with rigorous structure and neat organization.
Cursive script: The art is agile and fast, focusing on the regular changes of dots and lines.
(3) Summary and understanding
The group freely talks about the characteristics of different calligraphy styles. The teacher summarizes and encourages the students, points out the inaccuracies in students' analysis of the characteristics of fonts, and gives guiding opinions.
(4) Comparative appreciation
Chinese character culture is extensive and profound, and its writing is diverse and full of connotations. The teacher shows the calligraphy works of seal script and official script, as well as the calligraphy works of official script and regular script, guides students to appreciate the artistic characteristics of identifying fonts, and explains the identification methods.
Students practice, teachers guide.
(5) Summary of homework
At the end of the course, the teacher uses a review teaching method to guide students to review the teaching content of this lesson and consolidate and deepen their understanding based on students' weak points.
Assign homework: Try to appreciate different calligraphy styles and tell which font you like best.
