Mr. Leng Lin was born in Beijing in 1965. He graduated from the Art History Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts with a bachelor's degree in 1988 and a master's degree from the same department in 1993. Founder and current host of Beijing Commune, president of Pace Beijing, the Beijing branch of the famous American gallery PaceWildenstein. He once served as the editor of "Literary Research" of the Chinese Academy of Arts and an assistant researcher at the Institute of Literature of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
Wang Xizhi (303-361, one version says 321-379), courtesy name Yishao, was a calligrapher during the Eastern Jin Dynasty and was known as the "Sage of Calligraphy". Langya was born in Linyi (now Linyi, Shandong). After crossing south, he lived in Shanyin, Kuaiji (now Shaoxing, Zhejiang). In his later years, he lived in seclusion in Jinting, Shan County.
He successively served as secretary Ying, general Ningyuan, governor of Jiangzhou, and later as internal history of Kuaiji, leading the right general. His calligraphy is good at Li, Cao, Kai, Xing and other styles. He studies the styles carefully, imitates them with his heart and hands, draws on the strengths of others, prepares various styles, and cultivates them in one furnace. He breaks away from the writing style of Han and Wei Dynasties and becomes his own style with far-reaching influence. The style is peaceful and natural, the writing style is euphemistic and subtle, and it is beautiful and graceful. Li Zhimin commented: "Wang Xizhi's calligraphy not only expresses the simplicity and profoundness based on the philosophy of Lao and Zhuang, but also expresses the harmony based on the Confucian doctrine of the mean." His representative work "Lanting Preface" is known as "the best running script in the world". In the history of calligraphy, he and his son Wang Xianzhi are collectively known as the "Two Kings".
"Sang Luan Tie" is a cursive calligraphy work created by the Eastern Jin calligrapher Wang Xizhi during the Yonghe period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. It is now collected in the Sannomaru Shozokan of the Imperial Household Agency, Japan.
"Sang Luan Tie" was written by Wang Xizhi to express his helplessness, grief and indignation. "Sang Luan Tie" is made of hard yellow ring extension, double hook outline and ink mark on white linen paper. Underneath the beautiful appearance, people can suddenly see an inner essence with extremely rich emotions. The brushwork is exquisite, the structure is multiple and the postures are sideways, with a strange and unrestrained effect. It is a typical work of the latest postures created by Wang Xizhi.
"Sangluan Tie" has 8 lines and 62 characters, and is connected with "Er Xie Tie" and "Deshi Tie" into one sheet.
