Teacher Zheng Xiaohua was born in Jinyun, Zhejiang in 1963. He graduated from the History Department of Renmin University of China in 1983 and stayed at the school to teach after graduation. In 1995, he was admitted to the Calligraphy Institute of Capital Normal University and studied for a doctorate in calligraphy under Professor Ouyang Zhongshi, a veteran in the calligraphy world. He graduated with a doctorate in 1998 and became the first recipient of a doctorate in calligraphy in my country.

In 2001, he was selected into the “Beijing New Century Literary Talents Project” and the Beijing “New Century Social Science Theoretical Talents Project”.
