In May 2015, the latest discovery in Xi'an was the epitaph of Zhai Tiande carved in regular script by Ouyang Xun, who was buried on December 25, the eighth year of Zhenguan of the Tang Dynasty.

In recent years, new extensions of Ouyang Xun's regular script have been discovered in Xi'an. They are "Li Yu's Epitaph" (the 8th year of Zhenguan), "The Princess's Day Epitaph" (the 10th year of Zhenguan), "The Epitaph of Mrs. Deng Tong and Ren's Family" (the 14th year of Zhenguan) and the "Qiu Master's Epitaph" in the 15th year of Zhenguan. In addition to the "Epitaph of Lady Dou" discovered in 1958 (the 11th year of Zhenguan) and the latest discovery in May 2015 "The Epitaph of Zhai Tiande" (the 8th year of Zhenguan), a total of 6 Ouyang Xun regular script inscriptions were discovered after the founding of the People's Republic of China, none of which were found. Tombstones are all epitaphs.
