Appreciation of Zhao Mengfu's regular script calligraphy "Kunshan Prefecture Huaiyun Yuan Ji" attached postscript

"Kunshan Prefecture Huaiyun Courtyard" is one of Zhao Mengfu's masterpieces. This post is the representative work of Zhao Shu in regular script during his mature period. The calligraphy style is mainly "Tang Kai", and also absorbs some elements from Wang Xizhi's "Lanting Preface". The flat, broad and thick style of the Dade period has been replaced by clear, clear and sparse styles, and the use of brushwork has become more rounded, refined and flexible. After the art of regular script in China reached its peak in the Tang Dynasty, it gradually lost its mainstream position in the calligraphy world. It was not until the emergence of Zhao Mengfu that regular script was revived and continued. This is Zhao's important contribution in the history of calligraphy.
