Rubbing of "Fish Cauldron Dagger"
The inscription "said: The dagger of Zhisi, it is said that (falling) the king fish tripod. It said: Qin Zai, water bugs travel, the people are ignorant (knowledge), consult Chi (you) life, silk (thin) life into the soup, suddenly enter suddenly Go out and stay where you are.”
It is said that it was unearthed from Hunyuan, Shanxi Province in the 1920s and was collected by Luo Zhenyu, a famous artist of the generation. The front end of the dagger is rounded and the handle is broken. There are gold inscriptions all over the body, with a total of thirty-six characters remaining on the front and back.
The dagger is a small instrument, and those with longer inscriptions are indeed precious. The font of this dagger is close to the alliance letter produced by Houma of Shanxi Province. This type of dagger has been unearthed frequently in places such as Yuanpingtagangliang in Shanxi Province, and it can also be proved that it belongs to the Jin Dynasty.
