"The Statue of Yang Dayan" was engraved at the beginning of Jingming Dynasty in the Northern Wei Dynasty (500-508). Regular script, engraved in Guyang Cave, Longmen, Luoyang. Together with the "Statue of Shi Ping Gong", "Statue of Sun Qiusheng" and "Statue of Wei Lingzang", it is also known as the "Four Longmen Products". Kang Youwei's "Guangyi Zhou Shuangji" listed it as a strong and majestic sect.

The statue niche is located on the second floor of the north wall of Guyang Cave, the third niche from the east, and is adjacent to the Wei Lingzang statue niche on the right. The niche is large and rich in content, and the carvings are rich and gorgeous. It is a masterpiece in Guyang Cave.
The statue niche is 253 cm high and 142 cm wide. It is in the shape of a pointed arch, with a verandah hall carved in the center of the lintel, a golden-winged bird in the center of the main spine, and Sakyamuni Buddha sitting in the hall. There are two dragons surrounding the Buddha, and two immortals riding on elephants and tigers outside the two dragons.
In the niche, Sakyamuni is sitting in lotus position, performing meditation seal, and Bodhisattvas are standing on both sides. All three statues are decorated with flame pattern backlights.
The statue is on the right side of the niche, 126 cm high and 42 cm wide. The engraved text praises the life of Northern Wei general Yang Dayan with outstanding military achievements.
