King Zhou Xuan's "Xijia Pan" unearthed in the Song Dynasty has 133 inscriptions on the plate. The calligraphy is thick and magnificent, with thick strokes. It has a unique style among the bronze calligraphy of the Western Zhou Dynasty. It is the forerunner of the fat brush used in bronze calligraphy in the Spring and Autumn Period.
