Among the calligraphers who were good at calligraphy in the late Ming Dynasty and who were good at long-frame calligraphy, their writing power was either weak due to their pursuit of elegance, or their compositions were mediocre due to a lack of writing skills. Only Wang Duo used his powerful writing style to integrate the classical works of the two kings. Elegant, "expanding to become big", both vertical and narrow, both joyful and calm, using the pen to make twists and turns, ups and downs, using dry ink to wet the thick and light, dripping and hearty, sometimes like a river bursting its embankment, cascading thousands of miles, sometimes like a waterfall. , rushing left and right, sometimes turning like a stream and gathering into a pool; the branching lines of the composition, the title and the inscription, are all varied and subtle, which amazes the viewer. Wu Changshuo once praised Wang Duo: "Youming's calligraphy is ranked first, rivaling Kongkunwei's calligraphy."
