Tian Yingzhang, also known as Cunqing or Cunqing, was born in Tianjin in 1950. He is a famous national calligrapher and calligraphy educator. He graduated from Capital Normal University and Tokyo Gakugei University in Japan. Born in a family of calligraphers, he studied calligraphy under the education of his fathers since he was three years old, and received extremely strict education and training. Gradually he was influenced by it, he worked diligently, and never stopped visiting the lake. He achieved great success in his early years. In 1980, at the age of 30, he took charge of writing the "Appointment Letter of the State Council" alone.
Mr. Tian Yingzhang takes inheriting and promoting traditional and orthodox calligraphy as his own responsibility. He has adhered to the position of traditional calligraphy for decades. He can be said to be "stimulating the breeze in the later generations and resisting the reputation of the time." He is already recognized as one of the few masters of regular script in the contemporary calligraphy circle. He has authored more than 150 calligraphy textbooks, including his "Exquisite Explanation of the Techniques of the Jiucheng Palace Stele", "Exquisite Explanation of the Techniques of the Huadu Temple Stele", "Exquisite Explanation of the Techniques of the Huangfu Jun Stele", "Exquisite Explanation of the Techniques of the Yu Gonggong Stele", "Tian Yingzhang's Regular Script/ "The Techniques of Running Script" and other books have been best-sellers all year round and remain popular for a long time. What is even more commendable is that Mr. Tian Yingzhang, at the invitation of calligraphy enthusiasts, worked tirelessly to teach calligraphy skills to as many as 10,000 students and made outstanding contributions to the promotion of calligraphy.
