Zhang Yuzhao (1823-1894) was an official, essayist, and calligrapher in the late Qing Dynasty. His calligraphy was unique, integrating northern and southern stele into one, creating the "Zhang style" that influenced the calligraphy circles of the late Qing Dynasty for a hundred years. He was praised by Kang Youwei He is a calligrapher of the Qing Dynasty who is "unparalleled in thousands of years".

He lectured at various academies in Jiangning, Hubei, Zhili, and Shaanxi, and trained many students. Fan Dangshi, Ma Qichang, etc. were among his disciples.
