Tang Yin is a versatile artist who combines poetry, calligraphy and painting. Tang Yin's calligraphy can be traced back to the Jin and Tang Dynasties. In his early years, he studied calligraphy by Huairen and Wang Xizhi's "Holy Religion Preface". He also studied under Li Beihai and Ouyang Xun, and was deeply influenced by Zhao Mengfu of the Yuan Dynasty.
