Qigong (1912-2005), who called himself "Qi Minggong" with the courtesy name Yuanbai, was a Manchu in Beijing and a descendant of the royal family. Famous Chinese studies master, calligrapher, red scholar and poet. He once served as professor at Beijing Normal University, chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, and president of Xiling Seal Society.
Qigong made the greatest achievements in calligraphy. His calligraphy works, whether on banners, albums, or screen couplets, can express beautiful rhythm and profound artistic conception. Some calligraphy circles commented on his calligraphy works: "It is not only a book of calligraphy, but also a book of scholars and poets." Therefore, appreciating Qi Gong's calligraphy and painting works is also a kind of visual aesthetics and spiritual baptism.
