Yongxuan was born in 1752 and died in 1823. He was the eleventh son of Emperor Qianlong.

Emperor Qianlong lived a long life, so his sons grew old. When Qianlong was old, Prince Cheng was "hopeful" to succeed him - Prince Cheng himself had imagined this, and there were also people around him who incited him.

Heshen knew that Yongxuan was obsessed with calligraphy and painting, so he collected antiques and gave them gifts. He knew that once Yongxuan succeeded in taking over, the future emperor would be firmly in his hands.
