Qi Gong's "Twelve Screens of Ancient Style Poems", 32.7×133.5cm×12 frames. Written in the 1990s, source: China Guardian 2021 Autumn Auction.

This five-character ancient poem has been written by Wang Youdun of Qing Dynasty. The third sentence is "listening to the birds in the deep forest" and the fourth sentence is "watching the leaping fish on the winding threshold". The two sentences written by Mr. Qi Gong are interchangeable. This five-character ancient poem is rhymed with flat tones, that is, the last words of even-numbered sentences are in the same rhyme, as follows: Nian, Xuan, Yan, Shen, Jian, Huan, which shows the depth of Mr. Qi Gong's academic training.
