A stele erected by the royal family of the Western Jin Dynasty in Piyong, the capital of Luoyang, China. Unearthed in 1931. Pi Yong was the ancient Taixue. Emperor Wu of the Jin Dynasty came to Taixue in the fourth year of Xianning (278) to erect this monument. The stele is carved from a single piece of stone and placed on a bucket-shaped stele base, with a height of 3.22 meters. There is a 1,500-word inscription engraved on the front, which records that Emperor Wu of the Jin Dynasty appointed academic officials, established the Imperial Academy, visited Piyong to inspect and give lectures, and the crown prince came here again. On the back are engraved the names and place of origin of more than 400 academic doctors and Lisheng disciples. The inscription reflects the prosperity of Taixue at that time.
