Yang Ding (1408-1485), courtesy name Zongqi, was born in Xianning, Shaanxi (now Xi'an). When he was young, his family was poor, but he loved reading. In the 10th year of Xuande (1435), he took part in the Shaanxi Provincial Examination and won the first place, becoming the famous Yang Jieyuan. In the fourth year of Zhengtong (1439), Yang Ding first won the first place in the imperial examination and became Huiyuan. Then he won the second place in the palace examination and was awarded the Imperial Academy editorship. He tried to make suggestions and repairs to the military and military preparations and to connect the three sides of the canal. He also first invaded the capital, issued an edict to supervise the affairs of the imperial censor, and recruited troops to Yanzhou. In the fourth year of Chenghua (1468), he became the Minister of the Ministry of Finance. Yang Ding is an official, honest and honest, but has a stubborn and dull personality. In June of the 21st year of Chenghua (1485), Yang Ding passed away. He was 77 years old. As a gift to the crown prince and Taibao, he was given the posthumous title Zhuang Min. He is the author of twenty volumes of "Subsidy Draft".
