Wei Shuo (272-349), a female calligrapher in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, was said to be the teacher of Wang Youjun (Wang Xizhi). His name was Shuo and his courtesy name was Maoyi. He was a native of Anyi, Hedong (now Xia County, Shanxi Province). The wife of Li Ju, the prefect of Ruyin, was the daughter of Wei Heng, known as Mrs. Wei in the world. He is especially good at Gongshu and regular script. His master Zhong Yao passed down his method wonderfully. When Wang Xizhi was young, he learned calligraphy from her. An article called "Bi Zhen Tu" was written by Mrs. Wei in the old title. Later, there were different opinions. Some people suspected that it was written by Wang Xizhi, or it was suspected that it was forged by people from the Six Dynasties. Because it was widely circulated, this book is still the old one and still listed after Mrs. Wei. See Wang Xizhi's "Inscribed on Mrs. Wei (Bi Zhentu) After".
