Wang Weixian was born in Tianjin at the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China. His courtesy name is Zhucun. He is good at regular script, patriarchal European style, and Tang Kai script. He is quite inspired by Ouyang Xun. His calligraphy is similar in form and spirit, and he is known as "the best European scholar in Tianjin." />

When Mr. Tian Yingzhang first learned Ou Kaikai, he took the name of Dharma King Weixian. It is said that brothers Tian Yunzhang and Tian Yingzhang admired Wang Weixian's calligraphy very much. Since Huang Ziyuan of the Qing Dynasty summarized the "Ninety-Two Methods of Frame Structure", famous European regular script masters such as Wang Weixian and Chen Yichun have appeared in Tianjin. Since Wang Weixian, Ou Kai has become the mainstream calligraphy in Jinmen. Tian Yunzhang, Tian Yingzhang and female calligrapher Wei Qiufang are all good at Ou Kai.
