"The Remaining Stone of Chaohou Xiaozi" was unearthed in Chang'an County, Shaanxi Province. Some say it was unearthed in 1911, while others say it was 1981.
It was collected by his wife Yan Ganwei and Zhou Jin successively, and is now in the Palace Museum. "The Broken Stone of Chaohou Xiaozi" contains fourteen lines in the upper part of the stele, fifteen characters in the other lines, and crosses in the shadow of the stele. The first line of the remaining stone contains the words "Chao Hou's boy", hence the name. The remnant stone has not survived, and someone once attributed it to the Western Han Dynasty. However, the calligraphy is a mature official script style, and it should be a work from the Eastern Han Dynasty. The fonts are beautiful and elegant. The writing style is vigorous and vigorous. Qin Wenjin commented on this remnant stone and said: "Between the calligraphy of Kong Zhou and Shi Chen, it is inferior to the others in terms of simplicity but more powerful. It is also a wonderful carving." Its strokes are in perfect condition. Among the many existing remnant stones from the Han Dynasty, the calligraphy of "The Remaining Stone of Chaohou Xiaozi" belongs to the "top grade".
