Inscription and postscript of the Ode to the Chi Ling of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty
Cai Jing's "Poems on Pictures of Listening to the Qin", collected by the Palace Museum in Beijing. "Listening to the Qin" is the representative work of Zhao Ji's figure paintings by Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty. There are three characters "Tingqin Tu" written in thin gold on the upper left, and another inscription "Tian Yi Ren" on the lower left. Cai Jing was deeply favored by Huizong, so many of his paintings had Cai Jing's inscriptions and poems. At the top of the painting, Cai Jing wrote a seven-character quatrain, describing the scene in the painting and praising the clear and sublime sound of the piano.
